Queen’s TAs, RAs, and TFs are voting on a strike mandate this week. In preparation for job action, PSAC 901 is running information sessions for faculty members, who can register here.
All members of the community are invited to sign a solidarity petition, which reads as follows:
We are united in our concerns about the financial strain caused by historically low wages and funding relative to the cost of living. We recognize that PSAC 901 Unit 1 members, including Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants, and Teaching Fellows, urgently need better funding to cover tuition, housing, healthcare, and basic living expenses.
The quality of teaching, grading, and research provided by PSAC 901 Graduate Student Workers suffers due to financial stress, especially for those in equity-seeking groups.
We call on the administration to support quality research and teaching services provided by Graduate Student Workers, as well as respect and dignity for all staff through an equitable Collective Agreement. We declare our unity to support the demands of PSAC 901 Unit 1 Graduate Student Workers in this cause.
Solidarity with PSAC 901!
